Chrome extension

Add a lead from the page you are viewing, in one click.

The "Add to Outbly" Chrome extension pre-fills a lead from the page you are viewing. It only reads the active page when you click its icon and does not collect leads in bulk. It automates neither LinkedIn nor browsing.

Installation

  1. In the app, go to Settings → API keys and create a key with the write scope (leads:write). API access depends on your plan.
  2. Download /extension.zip (the link is also on the Developers page), then unzip the file.
  3. In Chrome, open chrome://extensions and turn on "Developer mode".
  4. Click "Load unpacked" and choose the unzipped folder.
  5. Right-click the extension icon → Options: enter the app URL and your key, click "Test connection", then "Save". Chrome asks for permission for that URL only.

Usage

  1. Open the page of a person or a company.
  2. Click the extension icon: the page title, its metadata, the domain and any selected text pre-fill a form.
  3. Correct the fields, then submit: a single lead is created through the API.

The key stays in Chrome's local storage and is only sent to the URL you configured.
